Ilvaite // 154 Grams

This is an uncommon iron and calcium sorosilicate. Out of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China and similar in appearance to schorl, this strikingly black and lustrous striated specimen features the round- rather than bevel-terminated elongated crystals that we have only ever witnessed in pieces from this location, making it a meaningful acquisition for any collector.
