This genuine AAA lapis lazuli sphere has been hand-carved and hand-polished out of one solid piece of the best color lapis available. From Afghanistan, this specimen features dazzlingly reflective pyrite deposits over a generous amount of the sphere's surface as well as calcite deposits, which contrast strikingly with the depth of the blue. A dazzling piece that recalls why this stone was treasured in ancient Egypt.
