Dioptase // Ver. 4

The name “dioptase” come from the Greek words for “to see” and “through” and references the visibility of cleavage plains within the translucent, brilliantly emerald green crystals of this copper cyclosilicate mineral. This specimen boasts an incredibly lustrous and deeply-hued coating of green dioptase crystals, many beautifully elongated and well terminated. The cube in the picture is one centimeter.
