Bobo Sun Mask

The Bobo are one of the oldest groups in western Burkina Faso and are a decentralized people who engage in ceremonies using hand-carved masks like this beautiful, geometric sun mask during the dry season and harvest time. These ceremonies aim to restore balance to nature and to the community.
